How to request a home visit

Home visits are at the discretion of the doctor. Please do not ask the doctor to call unless the patient is genuinely too ill to come to the surgery, as home visits are very time consuming and we can see at least four patients in the surgery in the time it takes to see one at home. If the condition of the patient is such that a home visit is required, please ring the surgery before 1100 (except in an emergency) so that the doctor can plan his visits. Please be prepared to give full details of the patient's name, address, age and condition to our practice as this will help the doctor to decide which calls are more urgent. |
